Luke 6:38 NIV
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Zig Ziglar says it best, "You can have everything in life you want if just you help enough other people get what they want." It all stems from an attitude of giving - of generosity. How you measure life is how life is measured for you.
God gives to those who give. In His method of giving, we receive what we put into it. Put 10% into a relationship and you get nothing from it. Put 100% into a relationship and you get more than you put in. Give towards God's ministry and God provides more than you have given (not always in money). Help someone reach a goal and down the road someone else returns the favor. But...
Yes, there is the but. If you only go into giving with an attitude bent towards receiving, then all bets are off. Giving comes from the heart and if your heart desires only the return on investment, you will only get that reward. God measures the heart and in that measurement seeks to give us the desires of our heart. If our desire is only the ROI, then we sell ourselves short. If our desire is fully to give, then God presses down and runs over in return.
How have you been giving lately?
If you would like to help us out you can through your time or through a monetary gift. We are seeking to become a relevant church in a rapidly growing community. Your aid can help us as we prepare to reach further into our community through serving other community-based assistance programs, our schools, and the people around us.
