Unreserved Faithfulness - Isaiah 25:1

Isaiah 25:1 NIV

"Lord , you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago."

The greatest thing we can do is to talk with God.  When doing so, we are reminded that there is only one true God.  Not only that but He is also our personal God who desires time with us (not because He is needy but because He wants to share His love).

Isaiah wanted to exalt and to praise God.  To exalt God is to elevate God as the number one priority in our life.  To praise Him is to confess our devotion to Him, our love for Him, and our testimony of Him.  For Isaiah, God's perfect faithfulness deserved to be acknowledged.

God is faithful to every promise He makes with us.  God is faithful in all the plans He has made for us.  God is unreservedly faithful.  In His faithfulness, He has done great and wonderful things.  He has done and is doing awe inspiring things.

The clincher is that God has always had a plan.  He does not fly by the seat of His pants.  He is never caught off guard.  He faithfully sticks to the plan.

Do you have plans and goals?  Be faithful to them as God is faithful to you.  You will be surprised at how His faithfulness trickles into your faithfulness, and how His plans for us often involve the plans we make.
