Are You Soaring?

Isaiah 40:31 NIV

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

This verse is very inspiring.  I was working on the vision and mission of our Christian Education ministry when God gave me this verse.  Along with various reading material, I came up with the following design:

It is based on our verse for today.  As I prayed about it, I began to imagine God looking out at the people as they soared, ran, and walked.  I began to realize that our faith is like this.  When we follow Christ, we become a new person.  We have to learn how to walk which soon leads to running.  As we get closer to God, something unexpected happens; we begin to soar.   God teaches us how to soar, and we do so by remaining close to Him - by remaining Christ-centered (part of the above design is based on Move).
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.  He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:28-29 (NIV)
Take a moment to place hope in God and pray about how God can help you soar.  Get closer to Him and see how He will impact your life.  Eagerly expect God to answer, and He will.

If you are a minister, Sunday Bible teacher, or Christian education worker, I highly recommend Move.
