I have tried singing this song a few times in church. I still have the cassette somewhere around here. I could never do it as much justice as Mark Lowry. Beyond his comedic prowess exists a heart for God and you can feel it as he sings this song.
As a tribute to the power of the message, many have attempted to sing it. Yet, no matter how many versions show up, the message is still the same: Jesus came to save us by giving His life for us. Jesus is the reason for the season!
