On Time - Hebrews 4:16

Hebrews 4:16 NIV

"Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

The writer of Hebrews, long presumed to be Paul,  helps us find a deeper understanding of the relationship between us and Christ.  Christ approached us so we could approach Him.  He is the High Priest, and He knows what is on our heart.  His Word penetrates our innermost being so we can approach the throne of God's grace.

Now approaching God's throne is done openly and boldly. This is not because we deserve to be heard but because the death of Christ paid the way for us. We approach to receive God's loving-kindness and His compassion. Here is the best part - we can approach God who will satisfy our needs on time or in the right moment.

As the New Year approaches, remember that God is always on time and that you do not have to wait until a specific time to celebrate His presence. You can boldly and openly approach Him, and He is prepared to supply His love and His mercy to every circumstance.

Happy New Year.
