Invest in Education to Invest in Your Future

I know this has been a week about education and jobs, but look around and you see the many cutbacks in jobs, salaries, and more. I intend to do it again today.

Many people fear losing a job because they do not know how to "repackage" themselves. They fear that their age or lack of education will keep them out of future endeavors. Well, if they do not do anything, then yes, their latter years will be miserable and unproductive.

To be blunt and honest, some people are just too lazy to re-invent themselves.

The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich. Prov 13:4 (NKJV)

Invest in yourself. Set aside funds to get extra education. I want to champion universities such as Phoenix, Strayer, and Walden who are making great strides to make affordable education available to us all.

Phoenix and Strayer offer certificates of study for areas such as Business Administration, Information Technologies, and more. Certificates are not degrees and should only be used to enhance your current degree. They also add a lot of value to your resume, because it shows you want to improve yourself and that you are a self starter (which is a big deal for many companies).

You have many options. Don't give up, just get started!
