"This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him."
Can't Buy Me Love. I like that song. Money can't buy us love. It's true. A young man tried that in middle school. He was new and started handing out money to get friends. We made him stop, and we tried to make the others who took advantage give it back - I don't remember if we found everyone. You cannot buy friendship or love. You freely give it, and it returns to you.
John says in earlier verses that if we love then we know God. If we do not love, then we do not know God. God shows us how to love. While we were still sinners, God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for us. He sent His one and only Son. He did so to show the world how much He really does care.
We learn to love through Christ and because we can love we can live. There are so many people who are not experiencing true love and they are miserable. We as Christians can help change this. We can choose to share God's love with one more person. That's it. Choose one more person to share love towards. Your choice - love and live or do not and...
