The Home of the Brave

Proverbs 21:2 NIV

"A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart."

Today is Memorial Day.  It is a day set aside to remember those who have died in our national wars to help sustain our freedoms.  America has seen its share of war.  Tens of thousands have given there lives for us to be able to have our BBQ's and lake outings.  Never forget but have fun also.  That right has been purchased.

I spent six years in the National Guard as a military policeman.   Though some may not see me as a veteran, I know I could have risen to the cause of defending our freedom.  That said, those who did and their families deserve the respect such a sacrifice demands.  God will be the final judge of their action.  Only He has that authority.

The verse above calls us to be aware of our actions.  God knows the truth.  Will we act on this knowledge?

Happy Memorial Day!
