Acts 2:42-472. Your evangelism - to the world
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.
46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (NIV)
Acts 1:7-8Discovery topics:
7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (NIV)
1. Do you see a difference between ministry and outreach?
2. The word ministry can be interpreted as to serve. Why is it important to serve those in the church?
3. What is witnessing? How should we be applying it to our lives? Are we doing and how do we get started?
4. Verse 8 of Acts 1 says we will receive power. How should or do we respond to this power from the Holy Spirit? Why?
Respond to God in worship and prayer using this verse:
2 Peter 3:9 - The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.Evangelism challenge: Begin praying for those on your list and make contact with the person you chose in part one.
He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
