The Desires of My Heart

I haven't written here in a while.  I am working full time for a Christian school, part-time for the church, attending karate twice a week, and trying to find time to be a husband and dad at the same time.

I haven't had a chance to congratulate the SEC for winning five straight national championships.

I haven't been able to regale you with the beauty of the snow and ice that froze Georgia.

I haven't been able to ask the global warming nuts about the three snows Georgia has received this winter.

I haven't been able to complain about the 160 day schedule held by Walton County schools that "saves" jobs but overburdens the family.

I haven't been able to tell everyone how much I like RTV.

I haven't been able to tell you how great this year's Dave Ramsey class is going (they are great classes; you should give one a try).

I haven't been writing Bible studies as I had hoped as a way of writing my own personal commentary here in this little place on the net.

All the "I haven't"s can't make up for the empty spot I have felt not writing my thoughts here, so here are my thoughts.  At the same time. I have found that remembering all the I "haven't"s never gets anything done.

Writing down your goals and setting out to accomplish them, however, gives you a chance to make good on your desires.  Think about that the next time an "I haven't" comes your way.
Delight yourself in the Lord
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalms 37:4 (NIV)

What are you delighting in?
