The Big Bang Theory?

God said bang and life happened....Almost but not quite.

I have been mulling over a science series I saw the other week about the expansion of the universe and the whole "big bang" idea, and now I have more questions than ever.  You see, I believe that God created the universe with great thought and great power, so I will say that I am not being swayed by the theories about a big explosions in space.

Question One:

If the universe started as a single small source of matter, then where did it get its creative force?  Why would it become unstable if it was in a stable existence - what moved it?  There wasn't any other force existent according to the theorists.

Question Two:

If the universe started as a single piece of matter, then what about the expansive space around it?  Think about it.  One small speck in the middle of an infinite universe?  Doesn't even begin to make sense nor is it explainable.  How is the supposed "center" of the universe really the center?

Question Three:

Scientist say that the "known" universe is expanding (according to their ideas).  The key word is known.  What about what is unknown and yet unseen?  Does infinity really describe the universe according to their doctrine?  If the universe does only fold in on itself, is infinity real?  If it does fold in on itself - what holds it together?  Is there a giant bubble called space that we exist in, and if so, what is beyond it?

Should I go on?  People want to teach this theory as fact - yet it only exists in supposition and creates more questions than it ever answers.  The smaller into particles they gaze the larger the universe becomes.  The farther away into space they peep the more expansive the universe becomes.  What a masterful design - it all points to an incredible, awesome God.

“Can you direct the movement of the stars—
binding the cluster of the Pleiades
or loosening the cords of Orion?
32 Can you direct the sequence of the seasons
or guide the Bear with her cubs across the heavens?
33 Do you know the laws of the universe?
Can you use them to regulate the earth?  Job 38:31-33 (NLT)

O Lord , our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. 2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? Psalms 8:1-4 (NIV)
