Live Life

Proverbs 29:25
(NIV) Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.

If you have ever seen Nims Island then you know the character played by Jodi Foster.  Her character was afraid of germs, people, outdoors and more.  I cannot imagine what had to transpire to drive a person so deeply inside that they choose solitude.

As the proverb says, fear of man is a snare.  It will trap you in your life and hinder your ability to fully live.  Snares are meant to incapacitate or kill.  Fearful living is not any different.  This is why Jesus chose to come to earth and help us rediscover life - life more abundant.

To experience this life, however, means we have to make a decision to trust God.  A simple yet difficult realization.  Simple because anyone can do it.  Difficult because doing so means we have to become vulnerable enough to admit we cannot do it all alone.  So, the choice becomes to live ensnared all one's life or to live life more abundant.  I choose to live.
