Today has been an eventful day in the news and a peaceful day in my home. Senator Byrd died today at the age of 92. I always wonder why these senators and congressmen or persons push their terms into their very old age. I guess it keeps them feeling young. Though I disagreed with Senator Byrd's positions, life choices, and numerous other things, I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere condolence to the Byrd family and the state of West Virginia.
The Democrats in the Senate will now have an even tougher time trying to pass any bills until a "temp" takes Senator Byrd's place. Hope they find a conservative.
Mrs. Karen Handel received the endorsement of Governor Jan Brewer (Arizona) today. Exciting endorsement from another governor and from one who is in the midst of a battle against the PRESBO political correctness machine.
Nice to know the Supreme Court can uphold our gun rights. However, I am afraid of the backlash for religious groups meeting on various university and college campuses (Read more).
I am going to work through a few internet marketing strategies with my blog. For instance, you have probably noticed the changes to my "curb appeal". I am moving bits and pieces around (strategically) to get a better feel in how people react and interact with them. I am also adding several features to help people spread the word about this blog. I used StumbleUpon yesterday for the first time in a while and immediately received over thirty visitors through that medium. I will be posting my successes and failures as I take this journey. For anyone seeking to learn more about internet marketing, I hope I can share some of the information I have gleaned over the past four years with you.
My blog will still have the Bible Studies (foundational), my thoughts, leadership discussions, and other ministry related issues. I have merged my leadership blog with this one so you will see a number of new posts about being a leader. I also hope to share with you the financial tidbits I have learned over the years and tidbits that have helped my family erase all our debt (except what little we owe on our home).
I tried killing those wasps again. The buggers dropped like dead flies and to my horror, they returned in full force this afternoon. Anyone know how to kill these things? I have sprayed them several times with Eliminator Wasp and Hornet Killer. I think the red wasps are drinking it! Any other suggestions?
Enjoy the new look, and hopefully the wasp problem will soon come under control! Creepy looking creatures aren't they!
