Journey to the Future Celebration, Part Five

Invitations, transformations, and unity are God’s grace in action. The Christmas season is about embracing the future with Christ and taking others on the journey.

Take for example Rockdale High School’s football team. They advanced further than ever in the playoffs as they worked towards the state championship. Hard work paid off. People were flocking to see them play; people were beginning to believe in the efforts of the team; and the community was coming together to support them regardless of the outcome of the next week’s game. Why? Our community had hope for their future success. Though they lost before the finals, they inspired a community with their hard work! They were a billboard of influence and success.

If Rockdale football can unite a community for a season, then just imagine what can happen to your community when they see God’s influence in your lives.

Here’s the crossroads: some people act as if God owes them more than the life of His Son. The people of Judah had this same problem (Read Micah 3:12). Those who live this way find that their lives become fruitless and passionless.

God is calling a remnant (Verse Micah 4:6, 7) who will declare His glory. He is calling a people who are excited about the future He offers. If we are going to celebrate this new year properly, then we need to celebrate as if we are headed to that future described in Micah 4!

Are you at the crossroads? Are you stuck when it comes to sharing God’s invitation? Do you need a nudge in leading people to God’s transformation? Are you looking for a way to stand in God’s unity? Read, study, pray, and get to work.
